Demi Lovato is ready to embrace a whole new era in his life and career. The “Confident” singer hinted to fans on Thursday that they might be moving away from pop music.
Share a group photo of them sitting with the producer brown scooter along with other members of their Island Records label, Demi captioned it, “A funeral for my pop music.”
Everyone in the photo is dressed in black and Demi, who is seated in the center of the room, is pictured flashing the double bird.
The Grammy nominee then took to their Instagram story to tease what they had up their sleeve, including one member of their team saying, “You put on the music you want, when you want…breaking the rules. rules !”
The next story gives fans a glimpse of the music Demi has on the way, with the music producer Felder Oak playing a snippet of an upcoming song that adopts an edgy, punk sound. The snippet also includes the twisted lyrics, “You’re pushing me over the edge / Prod me, lie to me, ungodly heaven-sent” before Demi spookily says, “Get your freak show tickets, baby / Come on up, watch it monster is going mad.”
It’s unclear exactly when Demi plans to release her new music. This new tease comes shortly after the singer cleaned up his Instagram account and debuted a new look that includes a buzz cut, an industrial piercing along the top of his ear and a large spider tattoo.
This new era follows Demi’s emotional vulnerability Dance with the devil… the art of starting over album, which they released in April.
