The festival, headlined by Janet Jackson, Charlie Wilson and The O’Jays, will take place July 21-23, with an opening night by BJ the Chicago Kid at the Andrew J Brady Music Center. The remainder of the event will take place at Paul Brown Stadium. Find the complete program at cincymusicfestival.com.

“We are thrilled to be back, bringing top artists back to Cincinnati for the 2022 Cincinnati Music Festival Presented by P&G,” festival producer Joe Santangelo said in a statement. “We will adhere to all federal, local and state health guidelines that may be in place at this time, as our priority is to keep everyone safe. We will post more information as we get closer to the dates.
The Cincinnati Music Festival has been around since 1962, and a UC Economics Center study shows the festival has an economic impact of $107.4 million on the region, according to the press release.
A star-studded lineup for the 2020 Cincinnati Music Festival was announced in February 2020, however, in May it was postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19. Then in March 2021, the festival was postponed again due to similar concerns. This time it looks like it might stick.
