Music director PHIL THORNTON is now vice president of the CAPITOL CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP, according to co-presidents BRAD O’DONNELL and HUDSON PLACHY. In this new position, THORNTON will focus on developing new business, signing talent and developing partnerships with labels, media and tours for CAPITOL CMG artists. Since 2016, THORTON has been SVP/GM at RCA INSPIRATION, the NASHVILLE-based gospel music label under SONY’S PROVIDENT LABEL GROUP.
O’DONNELL and PLACHY commented: “We are delighted to welcome PHIL to the CAPITOL CMG team. He has an incredible track record for finding, developing and breaking artists and an entrepreneurial approach that we know will benefit our entire roster.
